    I Gotta Sing!!

Thursday, July 17, 2008, 01:47 PM PST [General]

Well, actually, I get to sing. Marcel Klasen has asked me to sit in with him and Tom Nicoli once again this year during their annual informal Saturday night jam at the NGH Convention.

It was a highlight of the Convention for me last year when I got to join them for a few songs, singin' and playin' harp. It's always such an honor to be sharing the stage with musicians of such caliber. Although it used to be how I made my living, I play so seldom these days. Hypnosis doesn't offer too many opportunities to rock out! ;-)

If you're coming to the Convention this year, make a note of it in your calendar. It starts late, and ends later. Let's pack the room and rawk da house!

    Get a Room!

Thursday, July 17, 2008, 01:36 PM PST [General]

at the NGH Convention Royal Plaza Hotel, that is.  I've got a room reserved from the 5th thru the 13th. Being the frugal gal that I am, I'd love to split the cost with someone.

the Royal Plaza is the place to be if you like to schmooze after the convention (as I do). The commute home is so short!

I tend to stay up (and out) late, but I'm pretty quiet.

Let me know soon if you're interested!

    Yep, That was me singin'

Friday, September 14, 2007, 10:32 PM PST [General]

I've been pretty incognito since the Convention. I blame it on my own incompetence with the internet. For a smart person, I get stuck way too often with simple 'pewter things. I couldn't remember my Login or password for OurHypnoSpace. Took me this long to figure it all out. Duh.

There were a few questions about who that was that sang with Tom and Marcel after the banquet at the Convention. Yep, that was me. I used to "sing for my supper" for about 12 years before throwing over rock stardom (or the marked lack of it) for hypnosis. Tom and Marcel were both so very gracious and generous to allow me to get up and play with them! Class acts, those boys. Marcel and I have been in contact with each other, and hope to have a couple small handfuls of songs prepared for next year. I can't wait!

The convention was even better than I'd hoped it would be. The incredible motivation it infuses you with is worth the price of attendance alone. But I learned so much --- it'll take me at least all of the rest of the year to assimilate it! And I made some great new friends.

Say, anyone going to the Mid-America Hypnosis Conference in October?

    First Day!

Wednesday, August 8, 2007, 03:57 AM PST [General]

First morning at the conference... and according to my internal Seattle clock, it's 3AM! Waaaaaay too early to be vertical.

I'm so excited to go to my first pre-convention class today! But I'm still feeling bummed that I couldn't do 3 or 4 pre-classes. There are so many great offerings, so much I'm hungry to learn. I'm like my father-in-law at the dessert table at one of those all-you-can-eat buffet restaurants... I just want to load my tray up with 3 pieces of pie, 2 kinds of cookies, mmm, chocolate cake, all 3 ice cream flavors.... and then go back for 2nd's and 3rd's! (Seriously, he DOES that!)

Hello, new Friends Steve and George. Hopefully we'll run across each other at the convention. For now I'd better go grab another cuppa coffee *yawn*. Or maybe a whole pot...

Hypnotherapists in the City of Sin

Sunday, July 15, 2007, 10:12 PM PST [General]

Now, I will grant you, I am not the most savvy internet searcher on the web. I'm hoping one of the more clever folks out there can point me in a good direction.

I'm a hypnotherapist in Seattle. When you type a few choice words into a Google search, a plethora of options are available to you to find a qualified hypnotist in this area. Trouble is, I'm trying to find a hypnotherapist for my sister in Las Vegas. The City of Sin appears to have plenty of stage hypnotists, but not many therapists. I'm having a hard time finding websites or any listings of training or professional history for the clinics/therapists I can find.

Perhaps this is an odd first blog, but it's what's on my mind tonight.
